Hello All!
Thank you for checking out this blog and choosing to follow along with us as we travel with our family of 6 and set out to reinvent our normal. I must admit that it's almost 1 AM and I am finally finishing up the beginning of our new blog and I am so excited... yet seriously exhausted. My husband is typing away on his laptop across from me working on what it probably important work stuff and I have been bugging him about fonts, colors, layouts and photos.
So, how did we get here? About two years ago we were all huddled in the living room watching some YouTube videos and we stumbled upon the Kellogg Show. They are a family of 14! Yes, I typed that correctly, 14. They began their journey because they were already traveling for sports and decided that they wanted to live full time in an RV and travel the U.S. After watching hours of video we began dreaming about what it would be like to live that life and instantly decided that we could live that life too. We knew that our timeline would likely be about two years because we have a son in high school. We wanted to let him finish out his last two years and also allow the kids to play sports while we worked out the rest.
Our Family:
Both my husband Lawrence and I are military veterans. I love all things coffee, yoga and Target. Lawrence is a geek at heart who loves all things tech, sports cars and Elon Musk. Devon is 17 and he enjoys Lacrosse, music, hiking and hanging with his friends. Romeo is 10 and he LOVES all things baseball and playing outside with his friends. Isabel is a lover of gymnastics, ballet and art. Penelope is a foodie who loves Ballet and everything Peppa Pig! As a family we absolutely love to travel whether it's by car, train, or plane. We enjoy watching movies, big dinners together and playing board games when we find the time.
We want to document the journey that our family takes prior to leaving for full time RV living because there is not much out there that follows what it takes to do so. We travel quite a bit and look forward to sharing those experiences with you. Our current leave no later than date is September 1, 2018.
Follow along with us as we travel, search for RVs, work on downsizing and getting our family ready for cross country travel.
